Jere Lavanni is a law student at the
University of Helsinki since autumn 2024. In
2022, he graduated with commendable grades
from the renowned and highly esteemed Ressun
lukio in Helsinki. Since then, he has worked
in logistics and completed his military
service in the Finnish Navy in Kirkkonummi.

He developed interest in societal issues and
jurisdiction during his studies in upper
secondary school. He utilizes his free time
by paddle boarding and reading.

With hard work, high motivation and a
constant drive for self-improvement, he
strives to make the best out of himself in

During the intervals between my
studies and Finnish military
service, I was employed at a
logistics center handling dry
and occasionally fresh products
for 8 months in 2022 and for a
total of 6.5 months in 2024.

Physical work including picking
everyday products to be
delivered to the stores. Working
in three shifts including night
shift (10 pm – 06 am) improved
my ability to schedule my
everyday tasks more efficiently.
